Hi classmates. Today I will tell about my favorite subject in this semester. This subject maybe is not what I expected, but in spite of this it is my favorite class. My favorite subject is classic sociological theory. In this class we learn about classical authors of sociology like Karl Marx, Émile Durkheim and Max Weber. In the class we can listen to the teacher talk about the proposals and ideas from these authors. To me is very interesting to learn of the theory that try explaining diverse things of society. We have seen the theory from the classical authors. For example, Karl Marx, We learned about historical materialism, theory of plus-value and also the critic to capitalism. On the other hand, on Émile Durkheim, we understood about the kind of society, the idea of pathologies and the term of anomia. Hi classmates today I will tell about the expert that I admire. The expert that I admire on my field is Emmanulle Barozet. She graduated in the Institut d 'Etudes Politiques of Paris in 1994. She has a doctorate from the École des Hautes Etudes in Social Sciences of Paris too. Finally she continued her studies in Chile and Bolivia. in addition she has developed many studies about the middle class, for example, the publication in the social science magazines in 2006. And she is the director and leader of many centers of studies and was the coordinator in other groups that she was, for example the COES. Emmanuele Barozet currently works as a teacher and academic. She was my teacher in the first semester of contemporary history. I like Emmanuelle Barozet as expert on my field because she is incredibly interesting and rigorous in her studies. Hi classmates. Today I will talk about my favorite photograph. My favorite photograph is a picture that my friend took in my last year in a program of a university. I was in the PENTA UC program since the sixth grade of primary school until my last year. In the photograph my friends and I appear. This friend was my classmates or people that I met in the university. The two people that are to my left are classmates in the school and the other people that appear in the photograph are friends of the university. I like this picture because I can remember my first experience in the university when I could learn so much about philosophy, social science, etc. but also I could meet very interesting and enjoyable people who appear with me in the photograph were the people nearer to me and who I shared so much in that moment.

To me in this moment is very hard to chose a favorite movie, though I believe that I can say that my favorite movie would be the movie “the number 23” or in Spanish   “el número 23”. The genre of this movie is thriller. The actor is Jim Carrey and the director is Joel Schumacher. The movie is about a man that found a red book when he went to find his wife. The book tells about a detective that is involved in some suicides of people obsessed with the number 23. The main character discovers that the book reports a murder and he will try to solve it. Finally it is revealed that the killer is the main character and that he lost the memory in an endeavor of suicide, forgetting all about the book that he wrote. I like this movie because when I was in the school with some classmates to not pay attention to the teacher, due to the class was boring, we wanted a movie to pass to time. We found a movie of Jim Carrie to laugh but left this because we liked the argument.

Hi classmates. Today I will talk about my favorite piece of technology, this is my cellphone. I got it when I was working with my father and thus I could buy it two years ago with my pay. I use my cellphone to have fun, communicate (calls and chats), take photograph, as an alarm in the morning, listen to music, see movies or series and make works for the university. I take it every day because this artifact is multi-functional and can solve many problems. I like this piece of technology because I can do many things, things that I like so much. Through this artifact I can learn to play the guitar or relax while I watch movies, maybe play video games and also talk with my friends. My life without my cellphone would be boring and a lot more complicated, although maybe I would be more active and do more exercise or read a little more.

I am Mayron Vasquez, I was born in Santiago but I live in Talagante since I was ten years old. I studied in escuela Manuel Rodriguez my elementary formation and later the high school in liceo politécnico 120. Today I am studying sociology at the Universidad de Chile, it's my first year. I have four brothers and live together with my father. I am the second big brother, and sometimes I've got to take care of children.   I usually run or workout and sometimes read books or study for the university. I like to think that relaxing and doing nothing are different because I am relaxed better when I do something that I like. Also I like to sleep when I am very bored or tired.

My favorite music is from here, Chile. Since I was thirteen years old i listen to rap music. This is a diverse kind of  music, that can be mixed with many music styles. In this kind music we can find artists like Mantoi, Gran rah, Zitazoe and many more. I like this music because is very interesting and funny.
